Ms. Hval graduated with a Master’s in Science degree in Geotechnical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. She has provided support for a variety of geotechnical and seismic hazard projects. As a Staff Engineer, her responsibilities have included: performing field work and construction observation, building and running computer models to predict static and seismic slope stability, analyzing potential hazards and deformations associated with earthquake-induced liquefaction, collecting and analyzing spatial data in ArcMap, conducting literature reviews, assisting with the compilation and review of background information, and preparing report documentation such as figures and boring logs. Her program experience includes: GeoStudio programs Slope/W and SEEP/W, R, Haz45, PLAXIS, DEEPSOIL, strata, CLiq, ArcMap, and Bentley GINT.
